The State of Hawaii has become so driven by commercialized tourism development that they care more about tourists than the actual Hawaiʻi residents and nā kanaka Hawaiʻi. So hewa. We need changes that will perpetuate our culture and way of life rather than marginalize and diminish it.

The Beach Boys has been the Ambassadors of Aloha for a Century. Why let a Mainland Owner come in and take that away from the locals. Keep the tradition alive and let the Beach Boys stay on the Beach, and continue their business. Sometimes it's not always about the money, but doing what's pono. Aole Dive Hawaii .

As a former beach boy with another company I stand with these guys. Waikiki wouldn't be the same with our the beach big culture

How can a dive shop which is run by mainland folk teach surfing? They do not know the tides. Currents
Or swell patterns of waikiki. They need to stay under the water where they belong and let the beach boys continue to teach above the water.

Beach boys are apart of our culture and a way of life. They are the front lines of the Aloha spirit for so many new to the islands. They are ambassadors and have been doing and sharing this traditional skill for generations. Let them live, teach and do as they have for generations. The Aloha lives in them. Don’t change them. Mahalo.
