It is so hard to put into a few words the disgust and indignation I feel about this. Those doing this in their capacity through politics and government are either stupid or uncaring and manipulative. "No mo' head!" comes to mind.

Duke Kahanamoku founded the Waikiki Beach Boys.Setting the platform for Hawaiians n all surfers. My father is one of the original beach boy in the 40'era.There legacy as a Waikiki beach boy is a big part of historical heritage n culture.Caldwell has no values for Hawaiian culture n heritage you gotta go.The Beach boys was here before you were born u have ur nerve to make a decision on who stays n who go's just for money.Do not change the Waikiki we know of change what never belong to ur history dumbass...

History and time-honored traditions are losing ground every day. We sometimes have to stand ground and be counted. This is one of those times.

Beach boys is what’s our Hawai’i and what made our Hawaiian culture known world wide through pioneers of surfing and swimming like Duke Kahanamoku and Eddie Aikau. You take that culture away you take away history

I’m confused as to WHY there’s even possibility about having the Star Waikiki Beach Boys being bought out to someone who’s stealing the same concept and putting his own name on it. There’s no Aloha spirit in that. Keep OUR boys on THEIR turf. Mahalo
