Born at the old Domincan Hospital in 1948 and raised in Santa Cruz. Lived at the McCrea family homestead where we always had chickens, including a rooster.

Supporting the causes of this petition! A kid has put in hard work with this rooster as well as a hardworking generation of family with the cause on why they started in the first place and it would be a shame to do this to them especially considering their recognition even in Santa Cruz. One complaint should not be a cause to do this, I stand with this family!

Keep the flock, they add biodiversity to the ground, will naturally keep the area free from insects, and in time of lower egg production offers locals the sale or gift of fresh eggs. A rooster crowing is not that loud.

As a 2 year old resident of 38th avenue in 1954 erasing history all around me is happening constantly and is wrong wrong wrong!!! I would watching the train from my stroller. Expansive fields and the train are now happy history. Save the rooster!

Dogs can be louder and more disruptive than a rooster. It’s species-ism to restrict roosters. They need homes too.

I’m signing this because it is the right thing to do! Our history and our ties to the natural world are being threatened on many fronts and this is a cause worth standing up for!
Long live Owl!
