Don’t Let Santa Cruz Erase 100 Years of Tradition — Protect Our Family’s Roosters and the History of Live Oak

I’m signing this because it is the right thing to do! Our history and our ties to the natural world are being threatened on many fronts and this is a cause worth standing up for! Long live Owl!

We have Lived in LO for many years. Roosters and chickens always around us.. and goats!

I live in Live Oak and completely support the existence of urban farming and the rich history that comes with this area.

This is cultural degradation to not allow people their right to own their livestock, pets, and coexist with their animals as IT HAS BEEN SINCE THE BEGINNING.

I've known your Dad since we were kids. Sorry you are going through this. that home and property is part of our history and I love your chickens. Praying for you guys!

as a 5th generation native & senior citizen who lives in Live Oak, I would rather hear roosters than traffic or boom boxes any day or night. Please support this family’s multigenerational poultry business. Do not force them to give up their roosters!
