California is supposed to be so hip and compassionate about animals but here you are harming them! Please! Please! Please! Do no harm! Stop the madness of harming these chickens/roosters and eradicate your need to put a rule on everything. Thank you.

I want to safe our beautiful pet

I've never understood the hatred for the chanticleer. Yes, a chanticleer is a rooster, and it's name comes from the word chant, which means song. And I remember when Live Oak was full of chickens and rooster song. There was a huge egg ranch off 7th Avenue, near Green Acres school ,and I have often thought the street Chanticleer was named after the many chickens in Live Oak. We tolerate traffic noise, garbage trucks, sirens, jet thunder, why not the beautiful and humble morning song of the bird that has given us so much for so many thousands of years. Brava Mays!!

Please! Roosters are already unwanted by many, let's not add to it, let those who can and want to keep roosters keep them.

Please have compassion for this family, which includes Owl, a pet rooster. Pets come in all shapes, sizes and breeds. He is a loved being, as the starting of this petition validates this. Please have a heart. Roosters make great pets, and aren’t any louder than barking dogs.

Please protect the rooster.
