All of my girls love soccer. My oldest daughter has been with Coach Jean for five years. We need a dedicated soccer feild. The children are really hoping for this.

The amount of Soccer that is played in Wicomico County from Rec to Club and Travel is over 1000 plus. As the most populated County on the Shore we need dedicated Soccer Fields for the kids!

Al public high schools and county parks across the state have many state of the art turf complexes, except Wicomico county. We need the same access to high quality fields as the western shore has.

Soccer is becoming a highly in demand sport. Younger players that are not skilled in softball/baseball, can definitely kick a ball. It helps them to be active, actually, in my opinion, soccer is more active than softball, with more constant moving. Thank you

While softball and the associated tournament tourism has been a significant economic driver for the county over the years, the county should give equal consideration to the soccer players and parents of both the county and greater eastern shore area. For years the county recreational soccer program has made due with shoddily maintained fields, no spectator seating, and limited locations for play. With 100 acres available in the west metro core site a REAL opportunity exists for this county to compete for not only county rec league players but for additional youth travel team and adult team dollars. The 152 acre SoccerPlex in Boyd, MD (which hosts Eastern Shore teams at tournaments) claims 1 million visitors per year. A smaller but similar facility here on the shore could capture a new revenue stream that would benefit the entire county.

We are in desperate need of soccer fields in Wicomico county and creating new fields WITH lights greatly expands the times with witch the fields can be fully utilized. Lights will allow for more games per day which will allow teams to have more games per season, especially adult leagues.

Adding lighted soccer fields to the county is only fair. Removing the fields at Henry Parker effectively destroyed the most popular parks and rec sport left in the county. New facilities will help build soccer participation back to past levels in Wicomico.
