I have 2 girls in Junior school. I am disappointed in the deplorable treatment of staff that were acting in the best interest of the school and general ethics. The resistance to sack the unethical is very concerning. Flo Kearney should be reinstated.

Whoever is writing the DGF posts is damaging the school its supposedly defending (not the PMSA). Measured, intelligent and dignified argument is always better than emotive ranting, which is so distressing to those of us who love the school. And yes, the school is not the PMSA. You aren't actually hitting your real target when you state that parents are taking daughters out of SH. You're hurting the students who are staying, their parents and hundreds of staff. Fight your fight with dignity or you become what you despise.

Year of 1973. I am appalled at what is happening at my school.

Thank you, Beyond PMSA, for your acknowledgment of us, the teachers, many of whom are also parents. We appreciate your understanding that we are in a difficult position but are getting on with ensuring our students achieve their best & stay focussed, esp our Year 12s. The fact that you realise that we too are feeling very concerned means a lot. Please feel free to share your post with the Don't Go Flo group.

More posts today about teachers at SH 'punishing' students who protested by giving out detentions. This is not true. Don't let the cause down by spreading rumour which has no basis in reality. Isn't a lack of truthfulness what this and the two Facebook sites are intended to protest. The latest is a former member of school council. Students are not being punished. Check your facts before teacher-bashing.

Honour before Honours has never meant more. Remove BGHS from PMSA control.

The members of the PMSA have clearly not taken the advice they give at Speech Nights when they espouse 'Christian Values' and 'Honour Before Honours'. Somerville House is a great school and deserves a competent, ethical, and honest governing body.

Today's reports of teachers photographing & giving detentions to students at the protest are ridiculous and hurtful. Please don't start taking swipes at teachers - we are the foot soldiers, not the generals. We support you by keeping classes going & preparing your daughters for their exams. Like you, we are outraged by what's happening. Unlike you, we don't have a public voice. We can't all resign in protest. What we can do is take care of your precious daughters. Rumours & gossip are not going to help any of us. Thankfully, the majority of our school community are sensible, supportive and able to see that having a go at classroom teachers is the very last thing our wonderful school needs right now.

This is a nasty and horrible situation because a person who has done the wrong thing wants to get vengeance. How about getting a raise and a better job at the same time.

For the PMSA to describe Mr Hiley’s conduct as exemplary is ridiculous. He should be the first to go ! closely followed by the PMSA

I am quite shocked at the behaviour of the PMSA. We are supposed to teaching our young women about equality and integrity in society. The behaviour of members of the PMSA is unacceptable. What messages are we giving our girls if we as parents accept this behaviour?

I am thoroughly disgusted by the underhand and unconscionable behaviour of the PMSA Board.

Words can’t describe how saddened we are to be losing a woman of integrity, honour and morals. Flo and the staff work tirelessly to provide a great education for our women of the future. To be undermined by the PMSA is devastating. To lose a wonderful leader, educator and role model for these young women is incomprehensible. It’s time to stand up, be heard and fight to get Flo reinstated. Question must be asked of the PMSA, and an independent inquiry needs to happen. Parents- raise your voices, keep fighting and let’s return Somerville to the amazing place it should be, with its rightful leader.
