We, the undersigned, wish to tell the broadcasting corporations/companies that we do not want our viewing disrupted on either the BBC and/or the commercial channels, when sports events are taking place. Sports events such as football, cricket, tennis, athletics, F1, the Olympics and many others. Why should viewers who pay their TV Licence Fee have to take a back seat and either watch the sport or switch the TV set off! Regular programmes are put on hold, postponed, or stopped altogether to make room for sports coverage. Sports coverage could be screened on one of the many sub-channels available such as BBC2/3/4 and ITV2/3/4 and all other channels including those with +1. Leaving the regular programmes undisturbed for their regular viewers to enjoy on their regular channel. If it is a matter of money, the broadcasting company will still get it's target viewers for the sports events, and it will also get it's usual viewers on the undisturbed regular channels. So please, please, please try and organise sports programmes so that they don't disturb our viewing.
