We want San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department to open Garfield Pool back up on Fridays and Saturdays and reinstate the swimming classes on those days.

The pool is so needed in our community every time of the year. It’s a place that everyone can enjoy and especially needs to be open on fridays and saturdays. Our community deserves to have affordable entertainment and a way to move our bodies.

Pools are mismanaged in my opinion. I've been striving to adresss issues for years...we all have. Aquatics has stubbornly thwarted our input for years and continues to do so

I have two young kids and I’ve can’t afford to go to other pool on weekends, since we live nearby. Please keep the pool open for them, I know it can be done!!!’

I learned how to swim at Garfield pool when I was a kid and volunteered as a Jr. Lifeguard these classes are very important to the community and for the children. It’s important to have more classes so there would be less cases of children drowning.

Besides all else…SFRP’s knee-jerk decision to cut Garfield pool’s lessons and shutter the pool on Fri/Sat represents a new inequitable distribution of public funds—where some pools are now the “haves” while Garfield is arbitrarily tossed into the City’s “have nots” trash bin…

Do not cut Friday and Saturday access. Adding Sunday hours would be great, but not at the expense of Friday and Saturday, please.
