a reduction of any amount would be detremental to the care of LTC patients in the state of illinois. With continue raising cost of utilities, food costs, supplies and salaries.

I find it very disheartening that of all things you want to cut from the budget, you are taking funds away from the elderly. The majority of these people have worked hard their entire lives and have used all their personal savings resulting in the need for assistance to live. If you want to cut Medicaid how about starting with the people who are capable of working and chose not to do so? There needs to be a better system than letting those people live off the Medicaid system forever.

This cut will significantly impact those in need. I suggest finding other alternatives when it comes to public aid cuts and a more extensive screening process for who is truly in need and who chooses to use it as income.

These are men and woman who worked their entire lives, even served this country to keep your family/ancestors safe, and this is how you repay them? How do you sleep at night, or look at your self in the mirror the next day? Why not fix the real issue, cut funds where they need to be cut! Stop handing out public assistance to young capable healthy people that are able to work, NOPE, you punish the men and woman that fought for you. STOP cutting funds for the seniors, for they are not the reason this country is in a financial hardship!
