Illinois is ranked 49th in reimbursement and is the only state in the country that doesn't guarantee monthly payments to Medicaid providers, so trying to balance the state's budget on the backs of the elderly and disabled is unthinkable.

As the former owner of a nursing home in a rural community serving a large percent of Medicaid residents, I understand the devastating effects of what this budget cut will do to communities like mine.

Illinois needs to stop cutting medicaid funds. nursing homes depend on this and its really not the nursing homes its the residents of these nursing homes that will really be losing out.

I am a nurse and a lot of our older people in nursing homes depend on this for the care that they need. There are other places to make cuts... Medicaid is not one of them!!

Please do not cut Medicaid for our Seniors in need they have worked all their lives and contributed hard earned tax dollars. Target the ones that have and are abusing the system...Prevent the Fraud!! That's where the billion dollar losses are!!!!
