I get that this state is broke and we have to make cuts somewhere, but social services and public aid is a ridiculous place to do it. This will be devastating not only for the population of people in IL that need it, but for businesses as well, as well as the thousands (millions?!) of people EMPLOYED in fields whose jobs this will affect.

Please provide for our seniors, we have to think what if that was us or our parents. I know my mom and dad work hard there whole life and if they needed a nursing home, I have to make sure they are taken care of.

I have worked in long-term care for years. The elderly who came before us help build this country, have paid their dues and this is how the government wants to repay them. By taking away proper care and a place for them to be taken care of? It's a shame that the "Governor" can give his staff a raise but take from the elderly!!!!

these nursing home residents don't deserve to lose aid!!! Stop taking from the poor, needy and deserving and giving to wealthy!! Stop giving to the people who abuse the system!!! Not the ones that can't even say a word about the system because they are mentally handicap!

These nursing homes need this money. They deserve quality care after working their whole lives. Most of them don't even have family, which is why they are there. Not to mention the amount of job losses you are creating from this. All around a bad idea!

Stop taking from our seniors. Take care of the backbone of this state. This is appalling. How well will our tax revenue be doing if there are thousands of layoffs from our nursing homes? How will these unfortunate people receive quality care with the current state regulations if there is no one to provide that care?

Everyone deserves help. These people didn't choose to be this way why should they have to be tossed to the curb and forgotten. Just because they can't speak for themselves doesn't mean they don't need help.

With the 49th worst reimbursement in the country already, our seniors cannot be cared for in a proper manner. Demanding quality care through loads of regulations with no money to pay for it is a crime.

Our 400 residents have intellectual disabilities and cannot work. They depend upon Medicaid benefits for their skilled nursing care, prescription medication, and in fact for all services they receive. Stop balancing the state budget on their backs!!
