Please do not close such a worthwhile centre. It has taught our children so much about the outdoors.

This is an essential service for the area. Teaching outdoor skills is vital to keep our young people fit and healthy with an interest in the outdoors rather than sitting in front of screens

Outdoor education is vitally important for child growth and progress. It teaches independence, nurtures communication and co-operations skills, builds confidence and encourages risk-taking within a safe environment. Closing Carlingwark will be depriving local children of this valuable opportunity.

The value of outdoor education cannot be overstated. For many school leavers their outdoor ed experience was the most memorable time in their school career. With screen use ever increasing, outdoor ed becomes even more important. Vital for mainstream kids, but I've also witnessed first hand the transformative effect on disabled children. The Carlingwalk team and the set up there is perfect and needs to be fought for.

Closing this place would be detrimental to the health and well being of so many D&G children.
