If the centre closes its one less facility and learning environment to encourage our young people who might not otherwise get an opportunity to experience this.

We have book and paid a deposit for an exchange trip for a French pipe band of 34 people who have been asked join in the Douglas day celebrations and if this booking is not accommodated I will personally take it to the national press. We try to encourage people to visit the region and this is how they are treated. This booking was made and confirmed in October 2018.

Financial cuts are difficult to manage, but we must not reduce investment in young people to this degree, I believe

When I was a kid in Galloway, this was one of the few places that every kid loved to go. So many life lessons learned there, and so much fun. This needs to be kept open, plain and simple.

This is a fantastic resource and should be kept open. Kids should be getting more outside education not less.

Such a shame if it closed as children have had great outdoor experiences going there.

The centre at carlingwark along with the outdoor education staff provide school pupils and members of the public with experieces they may otherwise never experience. The life skills that can be learned and developed are fundamental to building confidence and resilience.

My children had the opportunity to go here and had such a marvelous learning experience. I would hope you keep it open.
