Kids love Carlingwark , would be a pity to be closed, it’s good for socialization skills when school kids attend here .

How about a freeze on moneys paid to councillors instead of closing places like this , shocking suggestion but I'm sure would save hundred and hundreds of thousands of pounds

Carlingwark is an asset to the town and could become a commercial success if it could be used by the many visitors to the town, especially with the caravan site on the doorstep.

I’ve taught hundreds of children over the years who have greatly benefited from what is often their first experience of an overnight stay away from their family. The activities offered are first class and are not normally available to most children. Through the entire experience children grow in confidence and self esteem.

Was gutted to hear on the Radio Scotland report about this that Stronord has already closed. Have fond memories of both Stronord and Carlingwark when I grew up in the region. As the petition says, to lose this would be a massive loss.

This is so important for our kids.we live in ecclefechan where opportunities in our school are very limited.Infact this is the ONLY place they get to go.Disgusting to yet again take away from our kids.

Short sighted cut in comparison to the benefit to pupils.

All my boys have went to Carlingwark and it is a great experience. Possibly the only holiday some children will get. Please don’t take this away from the kids.

It's always the kids that lose out. We then ask why do they behave the way they do. The proof is in the pudding

Well used bu the schools in this area, would be a big loss to the young ones.
