This community cafe was a huge example to us all of how you could turn a neglected (then!) corner of London into a thriving community. Well ahead of its time. Please don't let it disappear.

Bonnington cafe is an incredibly special place. I used to live around the corner and still travel to visit every month. Its one of vauxhall's safe spaces where the community can go, I even came out to friends over dinner there many moons ago. We will fight this potential closure. Too many local community spaces are being taken away from us!!

A rare, originally ground breaking and inspirational restaurant which needs to be kept in the same style as a wide variety of people from a large catchment area would like. A great opportunity for budding chefs to contribute and benefit from this community enterprise.

As a regular visitor and user, I wish to stress how important it is to keep Bonnington Centre open. In case the current management is unable to cope, I’m sure a viable solution can found. To close it, however, will cause irreparable damage to the continuity of its community, and to the reputation of the centre...
I urge you not to close it, and to review the management structure to make it work and develop in a positive direction.

Closing the cafe and centre would be a myopic decision, further eroding the variety, liveliness and inclusivity of the wider area. Don't do it!

This is a legendary institution that shows what can be done when you take greed out of the equation - let's keep it that way.

This cafe is a very important institution giving opportunities to start up talented chefs and is an asset to the local community. It would be a travesty if it closed.

This is a thriving community cafe with a difference. Serving amazing vegan /vegetarian foods. It would be a terrible shame to close it down

I remember going here soon after arriving in London back in the late 90s. It shows how a city can still have a community focus.

Energises and revitalises the community. Promotes emotional health by being a space people gather. Instead of going on antidepressants or using NHS psychological resources people get greater benefit from going here and being part of.
Such a shame if this place becomes another residential house or some generic, soulless cafe just in place to turn a profit.
I am not saying this from some new-age nonsense, there are real emotional health and community factors that ultimately tie into economic benefit and the stakeholders involved in this project need to be educated about the points made above.
Social costs should no longer be ignored on business decisions because what are human beings if not, primarily social!

Please don't close the most heartful soulful shared earring space in London. it's also one of the rare perfect eateries for us vegans. The concept and the way the place is run is a unique example and loosing it will be a serious loss to London and it's progressive community. Please please don't
