I have so many happy memories of eating and drinking with my friends and family at this wonderful, hidden gem within the city. It is an absolutely vital part of the Vauxhall community - please do not shut it down. And for what? More mindless and impersonal infrastructure. This is very important to me, my family and my friends.

Love this cafe. It is an integral and iconic part of the square and I know people come from across London to experience it - our Swiss au pair heard about it before she even arrived in London! Please do not close it. It is places like this that give our little 'villages within a city' in London their unique character and flavour and to close it down would mean losing a really important part of the buzz in this little area.

I have been coming to this cafe for over 20 years and now my children and nieces and nephews go. It is a great community asset. Don't sterilise Bonnington Square!

I first went to Bonnington Cafe (then known as the 'Squat cafe') 25 years ago. I'm not a regular as I have lived Abroad for 12 years, but I would be devastated if it closed. There is nothing like it elsewhere - the food, the people, the vibe and the conversations I've had with complete strangers there make it wonderfully unique. Please don't close it. Please
