XXX Don’t clear-cut the forest bordering Cambridge’s Reservoir!

The trees stabilize the soil. Bad, bad idea to cut trees bordering a drinking water supply.

Whoa! For so many reasons this is not the place to remove woodlands-- especially their importance to water filtration, soil stabilization, carbon sequestration, and to improve air quality as well along major highways! Can we please find appropriate places for the panels in the already built environment, especially, for example, as coverings for existing parking lots. This also creates valauble shade while reaping the solar energy. Although small, the solar installation at Walden Pond is a great example of how this can be done!

More trees/Less sleaze!

Please put solar on rooftops.

All the carbon sequestration and storage and ecosystem arguments for not doing this project are valid. In addition if you cut down these trees and put up solar panels, the soil surrounding this body of water will dry out. Currently, the forest surrounding the reservoir holds a HUGE amount of water. Think about the consequences of destroying that capability. This is insane.

Trees are the best hope we have for mitigating the impact of climate change and restoring biodiversity which is essential to all life on earth. Shame on you...

Hands off those trees. They belong to our grandchildren, including yours.

There has got to be a way, a place, to install "solar" that doesn't require carbon-sequestering trees to be removed. Stop The Madness!

I can't support solar power at the expense of mature forests. Please find a different location for a solar farm.

This plan is asinine. Wake up Lexington! The biodiversity crisis is real. There are better places to put solar panels - roof tops, parking lots, etc. Don’t cut down forests!!!!

Solar deployed in places where it makes sense is a boon to us all, but as a justification for environmental destruction including loss of carbon sequestration and the cooling provided by forests it makes no sense whatever. Please reject this proposed project!

Solar Farms are needed, but in sensible places. This impacts our air quality and thousands of animals we need for the survival of biodiversity in our county.

Please do the right thing for the animals and residents of Cambridge!

Forests are important for wildlife and our health. There are better locations for solar farms

If we are to expand the use of renewable energy, we need to be more creative about how we install and not remove trees/habitat in the process. Check out the Arnold Arboretum’s solar panels or at REI.

While I am a big fan of solar power (we have panels on our roof), I do not support the industrialization of natural landscapes from large-scale solar "farms", especially next to a drinking water supply and where its creation would require the clearing of hundreds of trees. Wouldn't putting solar panels on top of some of the large roofs in the immediate area (e.g., Home Depot, Costco, the MGH parking garage, etc., and/or over existing parking lots, be a much better alternative?
