Mingo County, WV has had a lot of snow days this year. Unfortunately, the BOE is trying to make up for that by taking away the Special Olympics. For many, this is a day to shine. It's not fair that they want to take it away from these kids. The BOE isn't threatening to take away any other sporting events. Just this ONE day. Please sign and share this petition, so that these kids (especially any seniors who won't have an option to participate again) don't lose their day!! They need YOU to be their voice!

After working in school systems for many years, I am always surprise when the decision makers undervalue our Special Education Students. I have observed their fellow students respecting them with high esteem.

I'm assuming none of the County Basketball teams will be participating in the 2014 State Basketball Tournament. Discrimination is illegal!
