Don't cancel the route, it can serve more areas in Bukit Panjang not served by 972, making it a good bus 972 relief route instead of just running Bukit Panjang Road > Petir Road, which do not have that much demand. DTL also cannot totally replace the route because DTL does not directly serve Orchard Road areas unlike bus 700, forcing current users to go on multi transfer trips which adds up a lot of time. Also, it has horrible timetables forcing buses to travel damn slow, currently can easily remove 1 to 2 buses will also work if they enhance the schedule because LRT complained that they spent $5 million on that route, so can save a significant costs and drive up revenue if they can adopt the above.

Please do not cancel it .
Mrt is not as convienent then this bus .
