Pl, Don’t do away the 700 bus service. We have only one bus which is 700 service to city. LTA have to throughly analyse instead of just taking rash decision to take away just only one bus going to city through Petir road. LTA must understand ridership of course will be lower due to Covid. Maybe 700 bus service could be minimised with acceptable time intervals instead of just taking away the entire service. LTA is requested, Please be considerate to ppl living in Bt Panjang.

Living relatively far from the core of eateries, shopping, sites, etc. of Singapore, the favourite bus line of mine, my husband, and our friends is the 700. It is nice being able to not have to worry about a lot of transfers and it is so much more affordable than taxis or Grab. This past year I have taken the 700 halfway to and from work everyday and in the evenings there was usually standing room only by the time I got on at Ruffles Town Club. As I write this my husband and I are waiting for the 700 to come and take us home after having dinner at the Newton Hawker Centre. For those of us living in the Bukit Panjang/Dairy Farm area, the 700 line provides an easy, convenient, quick and direct line for us to get from our area to the many other beautiful, fun, and delicious places and activities that Singapore has to offer.

It is very difficult to travel to some part of the city and have to walk long distance to transfer and also take a longer time by. Some other towns have also plenty of services and have few MRT line travel through it and yet their services are not cut at all.
Bukit Panjang have too few service directly to Orchard and other part of Singapore.

Please we really need this bus, I don't mine having lesser bus throughout the day to save cost but do not remove this entirely. So many lives will be impacted from this decision..

i have been using this bus service for years. its convenient. the suggestion to use another route by bus 973 instead does not help in facilitating the same convenience that bus 700 route brings. i hope the LTA reconsiders this situation, with the wellbeing of citizens at heart.

When we are to observe distancing during this COVID-19 situation. Spreading the number of people on the public transport is the right thing to do.
