Please do not cancel this essential bus service. Especially with all new developments in the Bukit Panjang area, the number of users is bound to grow. But beyond profitability, it is an essential service for many residents.

Dear SMRT, please do not cancel bus route 700. This bus route provides relief from the crowd from bus 190 to town. Do take note that bus 190 has over crowding issues and that's the reason why SMRT has decided to increase the bus interval to allow more trips made for bus 190 and to also provide a bus 190A route. However, they only service residents living in CCK and along Gangsa Road. How about the residents who are staying along Petir and Diary Farm? We do not always have to only consider data and numbers as this is a public transport and it is there to service Singaporeans. Perhaps SMRT can consider temporary measures to stop the bus service during the COVID period but not to remove this permanently. The DTL is constructed in places that are not easily available for BP residents. I understand that this has always been a challenging task from the beginning as BP is already a matured neighbourhood so there is, in fact, limited space for planning purposes. In order to travel to the nearest DTL station, the residents living in the BP would have to take a bus out to Cashew/ Hillview/BP depending on which part of BP you live in. This is already taking up some time. Our normal bus interval can go up to 5-8 mins wait every day and every little bit counts. These are all contributing to additional traveling time which is unnecessary on such a tiny little island. Please do consider the long term impact of the residents post COVID. BP has undergone several route changes through the times i.e. bus route to CCK was removed when the LRT line to CCK was constructed. Now bus 700 needs to remove when the DTL line is constructed. We can do better than this.

Aug 04, 2020In my opinion this transport service of 700/700A has been very helpful to several residents From Bukit Panjang to get direct access to downtown. My humble request to retain this bus service..

Please do not cancel this bus 700. With Dairy Farm Residences and upcoming developments around Petir & Dairy Farm Estate, more residents will need the bus services since MRT is relatively a distance from this area. With only 3 buses around the vicinity, I seriously don't think we are demanding a lot? On side note, I felt short changed after election ended.

Our family members use service 700 to work almost every weekdays, take away this service will cause inconvenience to all staying along Petir Road.

Please think of residents along Petir Road. How can we use 190 ? Taking 973 to transfer to DTL will take another 20mins ! PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE BUS 700/700A !

Since inception, i have been taking 700 to work as it goes directly to town. Without this bus, it will take at least 30 mins more for the same journey as there is no direct transport. :(

700/700A beats downtown line hands down when it comes to getting to Stevens/Newton. Why create the inconvenience for commuters?

It takes only about 20min via bus 700 vs 40min via 973 + downtown line to reach Newton MRT so why want discontinue this bus service? Every time when I take this bus, the commuters numbers is more than 10 ppl so I believe many people use this service to get to town area. Please reconsider this decision
