The buses already very crowded. 700 have less passengers because most of us taking 972. Remove 700 and change the route longer for 972 make us pay more and take longer time to reach destination. Is very ridiculous for paying extra and wasting passengers time.

There are only 3 buses along Petir Rd and I have been taking 700(A) almost every day, especially before circuit breaker period! And Downtown line trains are generally very packed. Please don't cancel 700 or 700A

Should not make a decision like that without understanding the implication of such on residents’ lives. Kids, elderlies and working class depends heavily on this mode of transport. Disappointed that a decision like this was made based on some data.

Although I am not a frequent user of the service 700A as bus service 190 is preferred, it has undoubtedly brought much convenience for me to travel to the Newton Area which 190 cannot access easily. Additionally, I cannot turn a blind eye to my fellow residents who stay much further away from the 190 route, especially in the Dairy Farm area.

I advice SMRT to reconsider their decision to terminate bus service 700 as many commuters will be highly affected. Singapore is known to be a seamless and convenient country but this action to terminate bus 700 is bring inconvenience to commuters.

Hi, I am truly disappointed with the discontinuation of bus 700/700a, yes I understand it is all about the decrease in amount of ridership, but the bus has been a savior to many of us living at Petir road and Chestnut Area. The least you could do is to schedule another bus that would be circling the Petir and Chestnut area going to town. Also, it is the covid period, does it make sense to force commuters to squeeze in bus 972 and 190 and increase the human traffic in the bus?
Hope you would reconsider the removing bus 700/700A. Thank you

Already cut down LRT is already very inconvenient for those staying in Fajar and segar ( inner BP) and we can only depends 972 to go Orchard , now BP to Orchard will take additional 20 mins . Pls think about it !!!
