Please do not ban roosters in the City of Mobile. Do not punish responsible owners because of an on-going feud between neighbors. It's not really about the rooster - he just got caught in the middle...

I think these noise complaint should be addressed under the noise ordinance for the city on a case by case basis. Why ban all when only a few are problems?

Please allow people to keep their roosters. My neighbors 7 big dogs make more noise than a couple of roosters at all hours of the day and night!

Roosters are quieter than children and many other animals. There is a huge resurgence of backyard homesteads, and people have a right to raise their own chickens for eggs and food. It is kinder, safer, and healthier. We have far too many regulations already and do not need more interference in our property rights.

The wording is harsh. The owners did all the was asked of them . They went to the city before any permitting was needed. When the permitting started they were inspected and passed for 3 hens and one rooster. The city was aware of the alleged complaints and knew what the owner was doing to help with the complaints . On a sad note after a complaint their 1 year old hen Chirp Chirp disappeared. It was a sad time. Being a good steward and neighbor is important. This family has Oakleigh roots that have been here over 100 years. This family has been in this house for 32 years . Please do not let a very small % stop the god families from enjoying these pets.

Roosters are not more annoying than unfettered dogs. Use the laws/ordinances which are already in place instead of reinventing the wheel and shutting down people who are responsible chicken owners.

It was an isolated incident that has been resolved by the owner. Neighbors over-reacted. A call to the owner is all that was needed. A city-wide ban, secondary to this incident, would be an over reaction by the council. Thank you.
