Schedule it to run in tandem with boat in Rosslare Harbour and it could be the busiest line in Ireland.

Irish services should be available for all of Ireland not just Dublin and the main urban areas.

The plan is to let the service run down and then sell it off cheaply to some of FG/FF cronies - perhaps our friend Denis is waiting in the wings. The fact that we have a train which doesn't connect with the Rosslare ferries has made us a laughing stock but it suits the agenda of those who'd like to see it privatised...

If the prices were more competitive and there was ticket inspectors working further south than bray it might be more viable.

A life line for many! Why remove when public transport is essential.. Especially the train.. for people commuting to work.. Also to reduce fuel admissions from cars.. Surely this service should be improved not removed!

Here is a link to Shane Ross speaking today re the train line closures. To be frank I am more concerned that I epwas. its the at the moment I am worried about - and the it's at public consultation that will have to be decided on after that to me sends warning signals (no pun into pended) out. I still have got no reply to my email to him from weeks ago. I believe this is just a fob off so they can go and shutit down without a fuss

Please keep our train line open. It would be a tragedy to lose it.

Having no train going to a ferry port is just brainless. We rely on tourism for a healthy slice of our national income. I know the train can be nearly empty, off season, but in the summer there are way more users. The powers that be need to really think about this! Apart from anything else the journey from Wexford to Enniscorthy is stunning, and should be promoted!

The railway linking the capital with the home of the National Opera House is an absolutely vital, and supremely beautiful asset to the whole country.

Coming from bray I will have to get 3 bus to go to Roeselare to visit my family , I have used this service's for the last 30 years , not just me but this service is very much needed for people going to work and college , Bus are not wheel chair friendly or buggy friendly and don't allowed small dogs on board , and any time Moring or evening when I use the train im lucky to get a sit . I cant understand why you feel you need to axe the wexford train . Why not improve the time table and put on more carriages on because at the moment you only have 3-4 on , also what about peoples jobs that have been working on the train for years you need to think about there jobs too .

Maintaining and improving transport infrastructure is essential......at the moment Wexford is showing no signs of recovery.
