Make the train meet both ferries and re-open the waterford line to help keep waterford-limerick open. Put some f==king freight on the line. NVD have a load of cars to distribute...... go figure.

Please keep this valuable service and upgrade the train, consider the timetable to be favorable to meet with the ferries and connections.

Needs to be kept! Same thing happened with Waterford to Wexford line... A prime example of bad timetables to justify closing it....

Myself and my wife have been in this situation as foot passengers on the Inishmoore, we were at the time trying out the Rail Sail ticket instead of taking the car. We arrived at Roslaire and made our way to the station to get the train to Wexford where we were going to met by my late cousin Kathleen Kehoe. As we approached the train it pulled off and we were trapped, this was also on a Good Friday, but eventually and luckily we were able to get a bus up to Wexford. What I'm saying is surely the Train company could be in contact with Irish Ferries and Stena so they would be aware of the arrival times of these boats I.e. If for some reason they were running a little late etc., obviously within reason. These Rail Sail Tickets are a great idea and if run properly between boat and Train would be a great asset to Wexford and of course other places as well.

Transport policy should be about more than commercial interest. The train is a lifeline for some communities in Wexford, and is strategically important with its link to Rosslare Europort. Its also one of the most scenic rail journeys I've ever taken - and could be marketed as a rail journey not to be missed on lonely planet and the rough guide etc. With scenes of South Dublin, the Cliffs between Bray and Greystones, the Wicklow Mountains, the National Heritage Park and more, this train journey could be part of the historic East tourism plans and should be promoted by Bord Failte etc.

Crucial that this link should remain working, also it should tie in with ferry departure and arrival times.
