This is crazy, it's hard enough to find businesses with doing this. If trade is lost...then jobs are lost.

How on earth are we supposed to find our local businesses if they can't use signs?? This makes no sense to me and I strongly oppose this action by the council.

Absolutely ridiculous that the council should take away a sign assisting people to a business that brings great service and jobs to the area!!!!

I fully support the retention of signs. They are doing no harm and do indicate the premises. Without them it would be difficult to locate.

Andy, I support you fully in your desire for professional signage to assist in customers locating your business. The council signage is ludicrously inadequate. You provide an exceptionally professional service and your signage should be allowed to reflect that quality.

Typical WDC mentality, their signage is useless despite the companies renting their property - object to a proprietor putting up a clear sign for his potential customers?? The lunatics are truly running the asylum, if the council don't like this sign let them get a decent on put up at their own cost - oops, excuse me, AT THE RATEPAYERS' EXPENSE .... poor guy has paid for this sign many times over .....!!

I don't understand how a sign to guide customers is somehow causing such annoyance to the council. Surely there are more pressing matters out there.

There's no good reason for not directing customers to A4 Audi, an excellent business, that is in a hard to find location, as I remember from my first visit!

If the council are trying to help create work and jobs in the area then they should be doing what they can to help SME's an dif that means changing their rules then so be it. They seem to allow places like the Junction on Great Western Road to have extremely prominant signage on land at the edge of the estate! But if I've learned one thing in life, don't just moan about something unless you can propose a solution as well!

we also have the same problem with signage it's a disgrace that the it's ok for the council to advertise but how are business's going to survive in todays current climate if we can not advertise

Support for local job providers and rate payers should be uppermost in the minds of the Council. This busy industrial area needs more publicity not less!
