I believe that every Child that is diagnosed with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder should be automatically included for the Domiciliary Allowance. We all know that Autism is a Severe Disability that requires care and attention Over and Above that of a Normal Child and therefore there is no need to have to jump through the hoops of Red Tape that the Government have put in place in order to qualify for this allowance. I propose that we organise a petition to the government to change the current application structure of the Domiciliary Care Allowance to ensure that every child that is registered with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder automatically becomes eligible for the DCA and is registered with the Social Welfare as part of the course. This basic act on behalf of the government would show that they are committed to the ongoing welfare and support of these families and their precious children.
