This is a petition for the wonderful students of CNU to have the opportunity to celebrate an important local holiday, Dome Day. Founded by sophomore, Tara, Dome Day celebrates the addition of a new dome at CNU, in this case, the newest dome for the Paul and Rosemary Trible Library. On this momentous day, students should have the right to get out of classes in honor of watching the new dome go through the installation process. In favor of celebrating this exciting holiday, classes should be cancelled so students can watch the newest dome be installed above the rest, and serve to define the significance of Christopher Newport University.
