There are many reasons for the Department Of Labor's actions, but they must enforce the rules they have created under the Alaska "Little Davis Bacon Act" for public construction projects, Pamphlet 400. General Contractors have side stepped the rules and the DOL has set up poverty standards for thousandsby not enforcing those rules they wrote and the Legislature approved.Help us change this. Please sign this petition and generate a demand for the Department of Labor to enforce its own rules.

Updates

October 21, 2009

The momentum surrounding our call for accountability within the Department of Labor has reached a notable point. This serves as a clear indication that the public expects our existing regulations to be upheld rather than ignored.

Fed up with this. Everyone else has to follow the rules so why do they get a pass?

The rules are there for a reason!! Stop letting these big companies run over the workers.

They need to do their jobs. My pay check has been stagnant for way to long and these contractors just get away with whatever they want. Fix it.
