Help us campaign for single-sex changing in Darlington's Dolphin Centre

I have used and may well use the centre in the future when visiting good friends in the town. My anxiety around men when in vulnerable spaces causes me, and many other women, to self excuse from centres that do not provide single sex changing ) toilet facilities. Also, read the Equality Act and T1 document for building regs. You must abide by the law.

Near my parent's house, grand children visit. Essential to protect female only spaces. Mixed changing is a safe guarding nightmare

There is some horrible stuff going on in these mixed sex changing rooms. They should all be returned to single sex spaces

The safety and dignity of women and girls should be of the highest priority. Enabling male perverts is unacceptable.

The rise of voyeurism and men leaving spy cameras in mixed-sex changing rooms and toilets is horrifying! Councils should be doing everything to protect women and children from being filmed for sexual gratification - and profit, as the films are uploaded to the internet and shared on porn sites.

I've used this facility with my youngest daughter, please can we make single sex changing rooms the norm again.

We must protect the integrity of single SEX places

It is an abdication of societal responsibility to encourage, allow and effectively force the two sexes to be in the same space when either or both sexes are changing and may be naked or semi naked, or may be in a position where they are vulnerable or simply want to have privacy and dignity without the opposite sex being in the same room. For women and girls, this also is a safety issue. Whether we like it or not, **males** (men and boys of teen years) are a potential risk to females (women and girls). A kind, considerate society takes steps to mitigate the risks of males towards females. This societal responsibility is even more important when it is an official body providing a local service. Eg a council providing leisure centre facilities must ensure that toilet and changing facilities are **single sex**. Eg One set of facilities for Female Sex (Women and Girls) and one **separate** set for the male sex (Men and Boys). A Third set for **families** only. Not mixed sex, because that will become male only. So, Males will end up with TWO sets of changing/toilet facilities and only one for females. That is unfair. That official body should not pander to nonsensical ideas that humans can "choose" their "gender" identity. Its irrelevant. Toilet/changing facilities are on the basis of *sex* of humans which is immutable. It should not be based on the fantasy whims in the head of confused (some) or perverted (others) people. Make sure this leisure centre has maximum of THREE sets of changing/toilet facilities: FEMALE (women and girls) MALE (men and boys and FAMILY only. Note: When we use the terms women/girls this is based entirely on biology as only a female human can be a girl (juvenile female human) or a woman (adult female human). Ditto the other way for males. Do not wilfully interpret "women" or "girl" as anyone who "chooses" those labels. It is biological only.

Please change them back to male, female and family changing rooms.

It is ridiculous that this should even be an issue - if course there should be separate availability for male and females!!
