Women deserve their own spaces with no men in them.

Of course there should be single SEX changing

Female changing rooms must be single sex for the safety, dignity and privacy of women.

Won’t be visiting until this is sorted

Women and girls need access to sport and a safe space to change in. Please use common sense and do the right thing

I’m signing on behalf of all women and girls who need single sex spaces.

Women should have the choice to undress in private, safely away from men

I do not live in Darlington but visit relatives who do, we all want single sex changing

This shouldn’t have to be said out loud, single sex changing rooms are a must!

Please do the sensible thing.

For the sake of safeguarding, dignity and respect.

Many people, women included are not aware of the level that some men will go to in order to view what is usually private for women and girls . This is sexually exciting for those men, even more exciting because it is prohibited. Mixed rooms are a wonderful additional convenience for families in swimming pools but should not be provided at the expense of the private spaces provided for women & girls.

Single sex changing rooms keep women safe.

Single sex spaces are important for biological women and girls. No males should be in womens spaces.

It’s vital for safeguarding that there is single sex provision alongside other provision at swimming pools.

Single sex spaces are crucial

Gym and swimming changing areas need to be single sex for the safety of women and children and the dignity of everyone.

I travel around the country a lot and often stop to use local facilities for swimming, fitness and showering. As a woman and survivor of sexual attacks I should NOT be expected to share changing facilities with men and boys. Mixed sex facilities open the door to predatory and abusive men. Ask yourselves: would you be happy for a 12 girl to be required to undress in front of a 40 year old man? NO. Safeguarding means taking preventative action, not waiting til the damage has been done.

For the privacy & dignity of all. Women & girls are more vulnerable in mixed sex spaces.

I was a PE teacher for decades it was males behaving badly in village type changing rooms was a common occurrence. The statistics on this issue prove my point. Not ensuring female safety and privacy is an appalling travesty.
