We, the undersigned Dogs West members, formally call for the suspension of Champion Class implementation until a transparent, properly communicated, and fully informed voting process is conducted.
This petition is for current financial members of Dogs West only.
Key concerns include:
• Major national structural reform was determined with participation from only approximately 14.4% of eligible members
• Many members were not provided with sufficient prior notice, detailed information, or clear explanation before voting
• The complexity and long-term impact of Champion Class reform warranted broader consultation and stronger member engagement
• Cultural issues within the sport cannot be properly resolved by structural change alone
Accordingly, we call for:
• Immediate suspension of Champion Class implementation
• A formal review of the voting, communication, and consultation process
• Clear educational materials and practical implementation details before any further vote
• A revised national voting process following proper consultation
• Consideration of alternative or incremental reforms with less disruption
Major structural change deserves more than procedural validity — it deserves informed member confidence.

How are we supposed to assess breeding stock if all he champions are in one class so therefore aren’t all shown. This vote was poorly rolled out and I didn’t vote because it felt like a joke.
If the process of change hasnt included clear communication with members ..then it's a rule change without consultation
This class will stop members entering their numerous champions to just 1 or 2 per show . It will be the death of clubs as entries will decrease. All dogs will be in champion class once titled.
This Champion class will take entries away, it’s not fair that a dog that is possibly only 12months of age should compete against a dog that could be 3years just because they are a champion.
Any change of this magnitude needs buy-in from more than a small fraction of the membership.
Really will have a negative effect on shows
I don’t think a champion class would be of benefit to all.
