I really thought this might just be a little idea that went nowhere but seeing how many people want to walk their dogs on the sand is honestly wild. I keep looking at the notifications popping up and it makes me think maybe the town council is going to actually have to listen to us for once.

Just like at other beaches locally, dogs should be allowed on the beach. Many people enjoy taking their dogs to the beach and not everyone has a boat.
We need to have our dogs allowed on the beach when it’s not too hot. Thank you!
It is crazy that we have to drive all the way to Carolina Beach just to walk our dogs. Wrightsville should be for everyone including the pups.
PLEASE let us bring the dogs in the mornings and evenings. My dog loves the beach and we are responsible owners who always pick up after him.
Virtually every beach along the NC and SC coasts allows dogs on the beach year round, although a few limit the hours of beach access during the summer months. The petition's proposal is balanced and reasonable.

I think that this community relies on its beaches to socialize with others (dogs AND humans).
Just like at other beaches locally, dogs should be allowed on the beach. Many people enjoy taking their dogs to the beach and not everyone has a boat.
