The characters John Doggett and Monica Reyes played by actors Robert Patrick and Annabeth Gish were an invigorating and much needed boost The X Files. Despite some peoples immediate dislike of a another male character brought into the series after David Duchovny's departure at the end of the 7th season, I feel adding Robert Patrick's character brought another dimension to the last 2 seasons. He added a richness and a depth that i do not feel was there before. The same can be said for Annabeth Gish's character, it was nice to see another female in the series play the roll of believer, She wasn't there to replace Scully as some had thought, but to add more credibility to the x files and paranormal study in general. I cannot imagine the last 2 seasons without them, as i cannot imagine a third movie without them. If Chris and Fox want to do right by the fans, the characters and the actors they will write Reyes and Doggett into the third movie. It would be an awesome end to an awesome series. If you agree and think it would be a total injustice to leave them out, please sign my petition so we can show Chris and Fox how much it means to us that these actors and characters are not forgotten.
