Dear Mr. Rothman,
We, the fans, would like to see Rogue come back in a fourth "X-Men" film as a main character. While she was given a somewhat leading role in the first "X-Men", her role was significantly smaller in its sequel "X2", despite the fact she was paired with boyfriend Bobby (Iceman) Drake. In "X-Men: The Last Stand", her role was the second-smallest next to Cyclops. She left the mansion and returned after she took the cure to remove her powers. However, while Magneto was also cured in "X-Men: The Last Stand", his powers seemed to be returning to him at the finale as he began to make a metal chess piece shake. We would like to see Rogue return and the cure wear off for her so she can regain her absorption power. We would also like to see her as an X-Man, fighting an enemy, something she hasn\'t done in any "X-Men" film to date.
Also, somehow, a majority of (but not all) Rogue\'s fans would like to see her permanently gain the use of fellow Marvel Comics character Miss Marvel\'s powers and memories in the movie (flight, super-strength and invulnerability), like in the comic books, even if the Avenger Miss Marvel isn\'t introduced. There are several possibilities of doing this, including introducing a new character similar to Miss Marvel but yet with her same powers (a la original character Jason Stryker having the powers of the X-Men villain Mastermind in "X2"). We, the fans, would love to see Rogue finally fly on the silver-screen and fighting evil mutants, since her other powers make her just as interesting: she could be able to lift a car over her head or fly into the air, but she cannot touch anyone without absorbing their memories and/or powers. She is invulnerable, but yet emotionally the most vulnerable member of the team: this arc of Rogue\'s comic history has always been interesting and many fans are most familiar with that version of the character after growing up reading those comics and/or watching the Fox Kids\' animated "X-Men" series of the 1990s.
While the reaction of having Rogue get her other powers is mixed to many fans, no Rogue fan can deny wanting to see Rogue on the battlefield and fighting alongside the X-Men. Even Anna Paquin herself isn\'t convinced her character is permanently cured and wants to return for the next movie should there be one, a rarity for actors involved with comic book-based movie franchises.
There are also many fans that want the Rogue/Wolverine relationship developed further, as most loved the bond between them in the first \"X-Men\" movie, but it was ignored in the second and third films. There are many fans that want to see their friendship developed further and there are others that want a romantic relationship between them to be developed.
While we realize Fox is busy with the "X-Men: Origins" spin-off prequels, "Wolverine" and "Magneto", we would love to see a fourth theatrical "X-Men 4" and have Anna Paquin reprise her role as a re-powered Rogue, back in an X-Men uniform and fighting alongside her teammates.
Thanks for your time reading this petition.
The studio remains silent on the direction of the next film but I am still pushing for a response regarding the fate of Rogue. It is exhausting to keep banging on a door that refuses to open yet I know we have to keep trying for the character we want to see on screen.

Seeing this grow is exhausting but I am glad so many of you still care about her potential. It is hard to keep pushing when the studio stays quiet but your commitment proves we are right to ask for more.

Rogue was my favorite character and it sucked how they pushed her to the back in the third movie. Please bring her back and give her some actual action scenes for once!!

she deserves better than just being the girl who takes the cure. she should be a real hero on the team.
