Dog kennel on Oakridge Rd

It's a beautiful neighborhood and no business belongs there!

I’m very opposed to having a commercial business on a street that is zoned residential. Not even sure why Bristol is allowing a hearing? Extremely concerned about the noise, extra traffic and the potential for dangerous dogs running loose in a quiet neighborhood. We need Bristol property values to increase, not decrease. Having a commercial business in a residential neighborhood would certainly reduce the value of these homes. Concerned, Matt Lewis

This permit will disturb a peaceful area of town where my good friends reside.

A commercial dog kennel training business does not belong in a residential community. There are young children in the neighborhood and a aggressive dog training facility in the area does not make any sense.

A commercial business has no place in this beautiful neighborhood.

I just became aware of this situation and application for a kennel and I truly feel that this is not the place for a kennel. We have been residents of the neighborhood for 28 years and would not like the peace and tranquility of our homes to be affected by this .

Please keep our quiet residential neighborhood just that. It is no place for a dog kennel or any other commercial business.

Against it. ....there is already a problem with roaming dogs in the neighborhood.

A commercial dog boarding/training business should not be permitted on a small, quiet, dead end residential street. This permit has the potential to grant up to 15 dogs or more a day. Dogs, who the trainer states have aggressive or behavior issues. This neighborhood has already dealt with many problems having unleashed dogs roaming, numerous calls to animal control and even the killings of two small dogs. Both were committed by dogs that had been called into animal control on numerous occasions. Bristol tax payer dollars have paid for the 30k+ fees to fight appeals for one dog mauling. I’m fearful the next tragedy will be one of my children. Please vote no!

Maybe you should actually understand what the business is doing as opposed to judging.

Grew up in this wonderful neighborhood, which is why I decided to move here once I had my own family. Strongly opposed to this business here.

For the safety of our neighborhood, do not grant this permit. This type of business should not be in a residential neighborhood with children..(Would you want it in your neighborhood?)

Concerned about the safety of small children in the area. We already had two aggressive dogs that were reported regularly and one of them eventually killed a small dog in front of its owner. Warden never did much when calls were made. Just drove around circle. A death that could have been prevented if Bristol listened to this small neighborhood. Apparently safety was put on the back burner. More than 1 or 2 dogs being trained is different than what this company is looking to do..they also specialize in dogs with aggressive behavior towards humans. Also, the owners are having difficulty with these dogs..how about drop off of dogs...what if they run away from the people seeking services. Is Bristol ready to take the responsibility of injured children and small existing neighborhood dogs? I would be holding them responsible also as we have seen that nothing has been done with 2 aggressive dogs by the warden.

This is a beautiful neighborhood with many young families with young children. It is a peaceful neighborhood. A commercial business such as a kennel should not be permitted in this residential area. My son and his young family live in this neighborhood and I would not want to see this kennel get a permit to be there. It belongs in a commercial zoned area. Please do not issue a permit for this kennel in this beautiful residential area. It does not belong here with the increased traffic, noise, and the possibility of a dangerous dog getting loose.

We’d like to keep our neighborhood the quiet neighborhood it has always been! No to the kennel!
