As you know my wife, Bari and dog, Callie, were attacked a few months ago by two pit bulls. The township has informed us that they will attempt to put as many restrictions on these pit bulls as they can under current New Jersey law. We appreciate the efforts of all those at the Township .
The purpose of this petition is to let the Township know that, as a community, we want these dogs designated as "Dangerous Dogs" under New Jersey law. This designation would require restrictions placed upon the dogs, as well as separate insurance, etc.
It is very important to the safety and security of our community that these dogs are restricted to the fullest extent of the law.
Bari and I have been overwhelmed by the stories you are sharing about feeling unsafe while walking your own pets through our streets. I am currently compiling your accounts to present to the township committee so they understand this is a pattern rather than an isolated incident.

Seeing this kind of movement in our community reminds me that Bari and Callie are not alone in this fight. This momentum proves that our neighbors care about safety just as much as my family does.

This is ridiculous. Those dogs should have been removed the second they attacked someone. Keep our streets safe for our kids and other pets.

Enough is enough. If a dog attacks people it has no business being in a residential neighborhood. Get them labeled dangerous already.

Absolutely agree. Dangerous dogs have no place here. Hope the town listens and takes real action.

I walk my dog in that area all the time and now I am legitimately terrified. Do something before someone gets killed.

Manalapan needs to step up. We deserve to feel safe in our own backyards without worrying about aggressive dogs running loose.

So sorry this happened to you and Callie. These owners need to be held accountable for their animals actions.
