I would imagine a private company would build the center if it could be profitable, or at least break even,...hmmm...I don't see one jumping at the bit!
If the school needs a better pool, let them, they are GREAT at wasting our money!!! Oh ya, they aren't biting at the bit either!!! Go figure.

There's an erosion of the pioneer ethos of frugality and self determination that made this valley great. It's bad enough to see someone (I'll call the Dr.) Who is a big government, Obama supporter pushing this reckless spending. But it's much worse to see local "Republicans" from hard working pioneer stock, spending with zeal, hoping or knowing they'll make money off the construction costs.

We don't need to spend $24 M to accomplish this. Lets defeat it and come up with something affordable. We let them get a $60M high school with no 2 walls 90 degrees to each other. LHow can I help defeat this.

As a widow, I can not afford more taxes! I also would never use the facility. Tax those who have a great interest in it!

Protect taxpayer dollars! A luxury item that will only be used by 20% of the population should not be supported by 100% of the tax payers. It's just not fair to force everyone to gift a luxury pool through taxes.

It's unfortunate we go to government 'the taxpayer' to pay for something that should be paid for privately.
How is it moral to use force to make a taxpayer pay for something they will not use?
If our rights come from god. Morally we can only delegate to government those rights we have been endowed with. The right to our life, liberty and property.
Government is force, it's no play thing. As our first Pres. George Washington warned " ....government is force, like fire it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master.
We must use extreme care before going to government.

To be sure, I'm NOT in favor of the pool. However, the sponsor of this poll is a hypocrite. He has deleted all posts that are critical of your point of view. This isn't a "discussion," it's an echo chamber where you come to comfort one another.
