The 50th anniversary of Doctor Who will be celebrated with special screenings of two episodes at New Zealand cinemas. Featured episodes are from Series Seven Part 1: Asylum of the Daleks and The Angels Take Manhattan, in which the Doctor confronts two of his most terrifying foes, the Daleks and the Weeping Angels, and says a heart-breaking farewell to his companions Amy and Rory Pond. Ten Event cinemas in New Zealand are taking part: Albany, Queen St, Newmarket, St Lukes, Manukau and Westgate in Auckland, Chartwell in Hamilton, New Plymouth, and Wellington cinemas Queensgate and The Embassy. - Taken from an article on nzherald.co.nz We need some cinemas in the South Island to take part in this event because there are loads of Whovians in the South Island of New Zealand as well as in the North Island. But it seems that no one cares about us South Islanders as the Critically acclaimed Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular as also only being taken to the North Island. We need to stand tall and show that NZ Whovians aren't just in the North Island. Come on South Islanders. Let's get our voices heard.

Seriously? None in the South? Typical. Us fans down here deserve to see it too.

Living in Christchurch and feeling pretty forgotten here. Why does everything always stop at Wellington? Give the South Island a chance to see this on the big screen too!
