Dr's are under so much pressure and it's not their fault, we need more medical care in this town. When we had the walk in clinic, that seemed to take help take the pressure off.

People are told not to use A&E for non urgent problems, and rightly so, but it's becoming the ONLY way of seeing a doctor without having to wait 2 or 3 weeks. Why not turn the old corn exchange into a health centre and/or walk in centre. We desperately need this, not another art centre as suggested in last weeks paper.

Totally agree - the situation is completely unacceptable and , as you say, likely to get worse.

I think it is the lack of appointments and also the process it is ridiculous that they are only released a week at a time so when you do finally get to see a GP and they want to see you in two weeks you can't go to reception and make an appointment on the way out. Also there appears to be a presumption that we have nothing else to do at 8 am & 13:00 than hang on for ages to get through and then told to call back. Busy parents and those going out to work just don't have time to be hanging on the phone.

It's a joke the length of time we have to wait for an appointment. The online service
has no available date's most of the time, ring at 8.00am no answer !
2500 more homes on the way and we're all still part of the EU experiment with open boarders ?

it took me 6 weeks to get an appointment for myself and when my 87 year old mother needed to see a doctor she had to sit and wait for 4 hours at Clements when very unwell - she was very upset

I've been trying to book a doctors appointment for the past couple of weeks and like everybody else am told to phone back at 0800 or 1300hrs the following day, but unfortunately for me I work full time and it's not possible for me to phone at those times - also, I don't have 20-30mins spare whilst waiting for the phone to be answered and then being told all the appointments are gone!! I shall probably have to wait until the problem is so bad that I'll require an emergency appointment plus time off work.
