My husband and I have to wait up to three weeks for an appointment unless you go and wait at the Clements for hours. You could be dead before you get an appointment!!!
I appreciate it is not the fault of the GPs it's because of the shortage of Doctors not wanting to go into general practice and can you blame them with the amount of people on their books. Bring back the drop n centre and ease the load.

getting worse, can't see the doctor who knows your history, which is very important if you have many health issues!

Contacted GP surgery Monday for an appnt told them it wasn't emergency but I wanted to see my GP and was happy for it to be in 2-4 weeks to make it realistic and was told there are none available. Even 4 weeks down the line. No wonder our NHS is going wrong. The government blame the hospitals but maybe the route course is GP Surgery so they should stop blaming hospitals and look to make better a broken GP surgery system.

On 1st April my husband was told the next available bookable appointment was on the 29th! Unbelievable.

The service as it stands now is falling apart, the staff do their best and always try to help, but we dont have enough doctors. I needed an emergency appointment for my son who had severe scarlet fever, could not get one for him at all, so I had to go to out of hours at Bury instead, we could not wait a week for an appointment. He could have died.

We need a proper appointment system, not the joke we have now, needed a follow up appointment to see Dr, now 8 weeks and still no luck. What's going to happen when we have more houses, DR's will never cope, someone will die before it's changed

I must admit that I have always been lucky but I have to be waiting for the surgery to open at 8am to get an appointment as it is near on impossible to get through by phone. I understand it is not easy for a lot of people to get to the surgery for 8am & why should they. Now they are offering appointments in Bury - we live in Haverhill NOT Bury. I do believe it will get worse.

I can never get to see the Doctor I would rather see, you always have to wait at least a week to get an appointment to see any Doctor at all unless you ring as an emergency.
