Dr Luke Long has spend almost 10 years training to become a doctor, spending £100,000 and has only 5 months left of training before he qualifies.
Britain has a shortage of GP's and will be recruiting doctors from abroad to cover the shortfall. Dr Luke Long applied for a renewal of his visa and had a appointment given but only after his visa expired there for making it look like he had trained illegally.

At a time of a shortage of doctors and having spent public money totrain him for general practice this proposed action is senseless.
I'm a GP and gaving read the background to Dr Ong's situation I would say please consider both him and the GP workforce which is really struggling
Crazy feel so sorry for you best wishes.
We allow terrorists and immigrants who have raped and killed to remain yet we are prepared to deport a needed doctor because of a late application for a visa.
He must be allowed to stay. Our idiotic civil servants will permit crooks and vagabonds to stay but object to this gentleman who will provide benefit to theU. K.
Get real ,retain this valuable person in UK
Come on Home Office when we are so short of doctors cut red tape.Allow doctor to work in this country

Why are they considering deporting this young man as done all his training he only as 5 maths left to do let him stay what kind of message is it sending out to other doctors or nurses who might be considering coming to the uk trained doctors are much needed here it is just an over sight let this much trained doctor stay
