Much needed

The movement to the dockyard was kept reasonably quiet in my second year- the only way they managed to sway us into thinking it would be a good idea was the PROMISE of a shuttle from the dockyard to the campus, and then straight on to Liberty Quays. I'm on my placement year now, and I'm looking at accommodation which is a bit further out in order to save money. It hardly seems fair that as the Medway campus has so little choice for accommodation (especially for first years!), KBS students are now forced to walk for up to an hour in order to be at uni for a seminar. Attendance was enough of an issue for my year- do they really think that not having some form of free transport for students is actually going to work?

This would be such a great investment! Walking for 40 minutes expecially in the rain isn't very pleasent.

I live in Canterbury and have to travel with the shuttle bus by the time it reaches Medway Campus I have ten minutes to walk to my nine AM which is at the dockyard or the church.

I find it unfair that we were not told about the exact wear about of our classes. now it cost about 4 pounds a day to go back and fourth.

They need the bus, or students are just not going to turn up

I hope the University would make the best endeavour to satisfy this humble request by students for a basic need.

Why are punishing us by not providing us with free transport? Music and Art students are suffering, big time! I will have no legs by the end of the year if there is no bus.

This should have been done a long time ago. SMFA students have to carry around materials and heavy equipment from campus to campus!

This bus link is crucial for our students. It is unreasonable to expect them to walk from Liberty Quays to the furthest end of the Historic Dockyard in all weathers.

Can't walk

We need transport, the fact that it hasn't been sorted is an absolute joke. They've had years to think about it and frankly should have been a priority.

It is a struggle to travel between campuses in less than 4 hours now.

Considering our business lecturers were describing the importance of stakeholder interest not a week ago - they seem to have missed their own trick.

This really is not ideal. There should be an alternative means for students to get to campus. If this was Canterbury changes would be made quickly but Medway students seem to get a raw deal. The expectation that students should walk this far with the amounts of study books/laptops and other items is unacceptable especially in the coming months where the weather will be unpredicatable.
