Do you want Mrs. Renz to be Principal at NICS?

Our kids love Mrs. Renz!

Mrs. Renz was one of the main reasons that we enrolled our kids at NICS this year.

I fully support and have always supported Mrs. Renz as principal. I think she has done great things for NICS and has a heart for the Lord, change is tough. It was not an easy task to take on this role- prior to Mrs. Renz, our school seemed like just a step above public schools, a glorified public school if you will. The qualities of a Christ centered school, is something she began to instill within students etc- this has been evident. Under her direction I saw a shift in the right direction and was hopeful it would continue forward I am saddened at the decision that was made and how we were advised of her removal.

I would like to hear both sides of the story. Not just why the board made this decision but allow Mrs. Renz to give her side of things.

We believe Mrs. Renz is a true blessing to our school and our family. The students care about Mrs. Renz and she cares about them.

We would like to know WHY she was let go, if it was a understandable offense we deserve to know.

I have been nothing, but impressed with Mrs. Renz and her vision for the school. I realize there might be more going on that I am aware of, so I think we deserve to know what happened. None of it makes sense to us right now and not having transparency makes things even worse.

We think she is a Great Leader and Great for NICS.

This board is operating in bad faith, and this decision did not serve student’s best interests. Several people have asked me why we don’t have our other child at NICS- this is why.

When we joined the NICS family last year, we were quickly disappointed about the level of academics we observed, and the spiritual state of the school. Mrs. Renz’ vision and leadership were large contributing factors in our decision to stick with it. I am alarmed at the board’s attempts to control dialogue and their lack of transparency. Between this and the way former teacher Cristian Browne’s concerns were handled I am really questioning our future at NICS.

We need some answers! We have had meetings and she has been great and very supportive. Sounds like a rogue board.

Keep her as principal! This is the reason I wanted my children to attend this school

Although our kids no longer attend NICS and are homeschooled, I am still involved as a coach and mentor at NICS. This news is both surprising and deeply troubling. We loved and trusted Mrs. Renz and could see her heart for Jesus and our kids in every interaction. Her compassion concern and love for each student at NICS was so obvious and she had such great vision for the school as a whole. Our family is very disappointed with this decision...

That is unfortunate to hear Matthew. All of our interactions with Mrs. Renz have been filled with incredible grace. We have been in her office a few times with one of our children and things were handled with grace, wisdom and strong leadership.

Clearly there are differences of opinion on this matter. I believe this is good news for the school and we are very thankful the board made this decision. All though I believe Mrs. Renz is very well intended and a good person, I was deeply trouble by some of the decisions around discipline. Clearly there is a need to have discipline, but done with grace and pointing young minds to Jesus, not shame.

Mrs. Renee is amazing!! We want her as principal at NICS. Love her passion, drive and commitment to NICS and making positive changes at our school!!
