Do you want Mrs. Renz to be Principal at NICS?

Mrs. Renz has made a significant and positive impact on the well being of our children and our family. She has been working hard for our school and all of our children. She is a blessing!

Mrs. Renz was the best principal. Everyone loved her so much! Praying for her and her family.

Dianna Renz was the best thing about NICS. The “board “ seems extremely toxic. If I hadn’t pulled my daughter out of that school in December, I would certainly do so now.

Hello to our Board, We were new last year with a rocky transition. The administration support staff was incredibly helpful and invaluable to us at that time. However we were not overly impressed with the “head of staff” and the lack of action that was needed for many situations that arose during the year. We did not feel the school had the proper administrative strength that it needed. My daughter was not planning to return for this year. Mrs.Renz has been a core reason for why my daughter re-enrolled to NICS for this school year. We were overjoyed after meeting Mrs.Renz and soon learned of her abilities to, loving but firmly, put the reins in place that we so desperately felt were needed. Not only did all of our students face tragedy last year ( which we believe Mrs.Renz and staff handled beautifully) but my daughter has personally had a rough last few years facing the death through cancer of a parent figure, moving to a new state and herself having major back surgery including halo traction and spinal fusion at Shriners hospital. Mrs. Renz specifically and purposefully connected with my daughter to offer encouragement, support and prayer during these times. She has also talked, cried and prayed for me on numerous occasions. If Mrs.Renz does not retain her position we may not be re-enrolling for the upcoming year. She is a valued role model and a prime trusted adult figure that my daughter needs in order for her to feel safe, protected and supported while she attends school. Please prayerfully consider an alternative solution to whatever the cause of her removal and reconsider your decision for the sake of the families of NICS. Thank you, Gloria Nichols 425.330.8831

I’m surprised at this point that there hasn’t been a petition or movement made to replace the board. An immediate withdrawal of staff and students from the school would send a much stronger message. With the board that is currently in place (and much of the staff who probably instigated this) the school is broken. I’m praying for and love the Renz family. I have zero confidence in what has become NICS. I no longer entrust my children’s education to them and am praying Mrs. Renz will be led to a school that deserves her amazing talents, love for students, passion and dedication. For the staff and board members who instigated this, NICS would be better without you. You are the ones who poison the well and I pray God changes your misguided and proud hearts or removes you from any and all places of leadership. Volunteering or giving your time has in no way qualified you or given you wisdom.

Mrs Renz is the only principal I would allow Teegan to attend as a student under. If she leaves the school Teegan will not be going to school at NICS anymore.

I want everyone to know that I support and stand with Mrs Renz. She is the best thing that has ever happened to that school, and the only reason I have kept Teegan there for as long as I have. The board members need more Jesus. I believe Mrs Renz convictions, light, determination, heart, faith, love, and guidance was a threat to them. I am beyond repulsed and disgusted with the board . I am heartbroken for the family and am proud of the stand she took for the kids while she were there. I can promise you that I will Be emailing them and going to the next board meeting to let them know EXACTLY how I feel and that Teegan WILL NOT be returning next year. To be honest, I don't even want her going back on Monday. After what happened to Preston last year, and the inability for the school to take action or accountability for the involvement of the situation I am ready to let all of them know just how unqualified they all are in making rational decisions. We love Mrs Renz we stand with her and I am praying for her.

Mrs. Renz was not perfect, and I’m sure she made some mistakes. However, she has three outstanding qualities that the board lacks. 1. Professionalism 2. Vision 3. Courage Also, the board FIRED Mrs. Renz, please spare us the corporate speak “contract as an administrator was not renewed…” I’m extremely disappointed with the boards decision, and even more so with the email that was sent to parents. Unbelievable that the board would make this statement to parents: “Please do not let the enemy cause you to expend any of your energy in fruitless and potentially damaging and hurtful speculation.” Transparency creates trust, and a lack of transparency creates a lack of trust. The board knew how much parents liked Mrs. Renz, but they fired her, kicked her off the campus and expect parents to just move along. What is really going on???

I am signing this because parents have the right to know why this decision was made. Leaving us in the dark is wrong. As parents, we trust the board to handle things with transparency. Instead, the board has caused undue speculation while preaching at us about not questioning their decisions. This demonstrates their instability as the board.

I stand behind Mrs. Renz, I am grateful for all her hard work, vision, and sacrifice. I do not agree in any way how this was handled or have any confidence in a board that lacks transparency and tells me to trust them. I also am quite puzzled how submitting to Christ = submission to the board/ and not doing so by asking questions regarding the boards actions somehow = giving a foothold to satan.. Really?

In my opinion we need to bring back mrs. Renz and a new board of directors need to be voted in .

I'm not only a parent but a substitute and have been impressed with all the interactions I've had with Dianna. I'm sure the board has its reasons for letting her go but I was shocked by the email, especially since I saw her the day before while subbing. Simply telling us to trust in the Lord and not speculate is a weak response in my opinion. While the board may not be able to give details, generalities of why she was let go would quell much of the concern amongst us parents. While God is in charge of all of us, here on Earth, us parents are ultimately in charge of our school and our children's education. I hope the board will give us more information.

I absolutely disagree with the decision made about Mrs. Renz not longer being the principal of the school. In my opinion she has done a remarkable job, and unless otherwise explained and proved, she should continue being our principal.

We love Mrs. Renz. I have emailed the board. I understand confidentiality, but we deserve to know at least the big picture of why she has been let go. The board needs oversight and that’s our job as parents. Mrs. Renz was frankly one of the only reasons I had hope for the school going in the right direction. My experience with her is that she is passionate about the school, compassionate with the kids and extremely hard working.
