Do you want Mrs. Renz to be Principal at NICS?

Mrs. Renz is an amazing mother and principal. Everybody loves her at NICS!

Mrs. Renz is such a great person and principal. We all love her!

I do believe that the board has a very difficult job, and that they are doing what they believe is best. I certainly would not pretend that I can do a better job, nor do I wish to try. What I am hearing most from those who are upset by this decision, besides the fact that many believe that Mrs. Renz was who God called to lead the school, is that this decision was made and no clarity was given. While we understand that much of the situation cannot be expressed, if you are going to make the decision to remove the main leadership of the school, a decision that directly affects staff, students, and parents in a significant way, I also believe that it is not unreasonable to ask for at least a basic explanation of why this decision was made. This is not to harbor gossip or for morbid curiosity, this is to know why such a sudden and drastic decision was made with no warning to any of the parents or families. Maybe this was a decision that needed to be made, we don’t know the details. But asking the hundreds of people who this will affect to simply accept such a major decision with no information is not a realistic expectation. I don’t know the full details of why this happened, but i do know that Mrs. Renz was much beloved, loves Jesus, and has a passion for the school. Again, I understand what an incredibly difficult position everyone involved in this decision are in, but I urge you to please consider giving the families and staff some clarity as to why this was the route taken. I am praying for there to be civil conversation in a God-honoring way as this is navigated over the next days and weeks.

The board does not have the right to say reaching out to Mrs Renz is of the devil and misuse the Bible

Very disappointed to hear of the school board's decision. Before Mrs. Renz was principal, she was invited to host a workshop with parents, teachers and board members in an effort to clarify the school's mission, and develop metrics by which to determine its success. The board then hired Mrs. Renz as principal so that she might implement the vision outlined in the workshop. It was her administrative skills, deep love for students and, most importantly, heart after God, that made her such a great fit. It seems the board knew exactly what they were getting with Mrs. Renz. What changed?

Mrs. Renz cared about all of us and actually tried to fix things and make the school better for the students, the staff, the security, the education, and the parents

When my parents told me about the email, I was in shock. Mrs.Renz is one of the most kind,loving God-like person I know. I really hope she can come back. God has a plan, remember that.

Mrs. Renz is one of the kindest and most loving people I have ever met. She has done so much for the NICS community and stuck with us even through dome really difficult trials. Everytime I see her, she gives me and my friends a hug and tells us how loved and appreciated we are. She respects everyone’s problems and tries her very best to solve them. Even though this was her first year as principal and she is having a lot of stressful things thrown at her, she was doing an amazing job at dealing with it, and I can’t imagine anything she could’ve done that justifies the board randomly putting her “administrative leave”, and telling us not to reach out to her, and the “enemy wants us to ask questions, but God wants us to trust the board”. This all feels very unsettling and isn’t right.

do you all realize that the board can not release the reason for not renewing her contract by law. It would be a breach of confidentiality for the board to say why....

Seeking some clarity

Mrs. Renz is the kindest most loving person I’ve ever met she is such a down to earth person which makes her an awesome leader. She always makes sure we are doing are very best and in the most loving way ever I always feel comfortable talking with her and is the first principal that I’ve felt that with. Mrs. Renz is someone who makes you always want to do the right thing when your around her. I want her as my principal because she is such a wonderful leader of Christ.

Mrs. Renz has had such an amazing impact on me during my last two school years. Not only has she shown never ending kindness to everyone but she has set an amazing example of God given leadership and how to use it wisely. I believe that God brought Mrs.Renz to our school for a reason and that should not be disregarded.

I support Mrs. Renz she has a heart for Christ, and a love for our kids that was apparent. This is disheartening to know she was removed and even worse how she was removed. I would like to understand why the drastic measures. She did not deserve this, she is loved and supported by many.

It is concerning how the board has behaved in the removal of Mrs. Renz. The fact of the matter is NICS was not operating at the level a Christian school should be, there was a deficiency in godly character from the kids, if you see the turn around rate of the years past you would see it was quality people removing their kids because of the poor quality of what their kids were exposed to. For once I began to see accountability for lack of character, kids began to be disciplined- even some whose parents worked at NICS. This school is a private Christian school, it is not a charity, not everyone is entitled to be in it, especially if they lack the basic character traits. Perhaps the cleaning house that was happening and the accountability she established is what caused a shift in the board towards Mrs. Renz, perhaps they would prefer to run this school as before, allowing mayhem. Ask other families who left or attend other Christian schools- we have considered leaving but Mrs Renz was the only reason we stayed. The board lacks trust and it’s apparent on how this was handled. They say say don’t allow the enemy to cause speculation, speculation is being caused by lack of transparency. Lack of transparency from the board so if the reverse was said, the board is acting under the enemies disguise. We don’t need to know every detail but being left in the dark instead of shining the light is wrong. This decision will be detrimental to the future of Nics as so many have seen the lack of direction PRIOR to Mrs. Renz, she being led by the Lord gave us hope this school could be turned around.

I signed the petition in order to prompt the board to share the reason why she was fired so we can have more information about the employment decision. I also signed to protest the implication that seeking further information about why she was fired is somehow not in line with biblical precepts as implied by the boards letter.
