When I tell people I graduated from Bolingbrook, I often get the response,"I'm sorry." There's finally a principal who wants to change this stigma and is in the position for the benefit of the students!

sad to see that an ego could change the positive impact that a principal is having on a school. I am hearing so many parents starting to decide to move out of district based on this decision. If one person can have this much influence without consequences what else is he capable of. This and the letting go of many classroom assistants is ridiculous. How is this justified?? Sad that someone is being strongarmed into leaving.

Let's do what right for the students. Encourage accountable for behavior and focus on education for all students! Our children deserve to feel safe.

I think it's disturbing that the school board has tied this man's hands. Let him do his job and continue to turn the atrocity of BHS around.

In a year and a half Mr. White has proven himself in many ways. The school board should allow him to make the changes he feels necessary, we have everything to gain. Life is about trial and error, let Mr. White do his job!!

Students will not learn in school if they do not first feel safe in their environment. Past leadership was not able to provide the learning environment that Mr. White generated in just one year as principal.

To Mr. Mitchem and the VVSD Board: SUPPORT Mr. White and allow him the tools needed to DO HIS JOB! Stop being jealous because he has done a better job at turning BHS around than you did, Mitchem! HEAR US TAXPAYERS! The ones who PAY YOUR SALARIES and WHO ELECT THE BOARD!!

We ALL know the real reason why he's leaving. He turned this school around for the better, something NO other Principle INCLUDING the Superintendent has done there. He needs to stay, but we need to take a GOOD look at our current School Board. I think that's where the change needs to happen.

I do not have a student at BHS but I have had years of negative experience with VVSD. I have been reading every piece of information written about the problems at BHS and can believe it is in dire straits. I have also heard very negative from police and health professionals and believe them. If Mr. White has actually started to turn the school around then he is the one who should be staying and Mitchem and the Board need to go. It starts at the top and this top needs to be toppled.

My daughter will be attending BB High in just a year and a half. I want Mr. White to continue the good work he has done bringing academic excellence to his students. I have been following the changes since he began his position with us. Lets keep raising the bar to allow our children to have the basis to be successful adults.
