I grew up in Bolingbrook, attended the old Bolingbrook High School, and now teach in the Valley View School District. I have seen this district go through a myriad of changes over the years, and what is currently happening to Mr. White is flat-out wrong. This is a man of strong conviction, integrity, and professionalism. He has proven, as is evidenced by the complete positive turnaround at BHS, that what he is doing works. Mitchem, if an administrator is not fully on board with your "New View," but what he is currenly doing works for every person involved, then why question him? Students and staff love this man, and the community needs him. Your narcissism is doing no one any favors, Mr. Superintendent. Remember who you serve.

I offer this challenge to Tge School Board, Superintendent Mitchem, and Principal White. Do the right thing here - set the example and teach our children the lesson of compromise and fulfilling you commitment.

I have worked at BHS and lived though the fights and choas in the halls. Since Mr. White took over, we can feel safe and are able to deliver our curriculum. He needs to stay.

This isn't just for Mr. White, we no longer have a say as educators in the district. You can no longer disagree or question because you will be retaliated against. Many of the decisions are made based on power rather than the best interest of the children. Teachers expertise are not taken into consideration. People are asked to be in committees when at the end their input does not matter. Enough is enough Mr. Mitchem you must be accountable to someone? Yes!!! To our community our students, parents, and teachers!!!! So, let's support Mr. White!!!! Not only for his sake but for our children and teachers who deal with this dictatorship in the district!!

I have one child currently attending Bolingbrook High School and another child who attended Bolingbrook High School when Mitchem was the principal. The difference is unbelievable. Things now are much better for students overall. The environment is much safer and the students and staff appear to have a greater respect for Principal White. As a parent, I have a greater respect for Principal White. Please let me know if there is a public hearing over this issue and I would be happy to communicate my thoughts on the failings of Mitchem versus the improvements of White.

I don't have children in the schools anymore but it still matters to me since I live right across the street from BHS. Sounds to me like Mr. White is doing something very right & he hasn't even been there a full year.

I just graduated from Bolingbrook High School this past year and I saw amazing improvements in the overall environment of the school and academic well-being of its students due to the structure and implications that Mr. White enforced and held to. His work ethic and dedication to help students thrive shows in the progression of the school and speaks volumes as to why his judgement and requests should be trusted and more importantly, why he is a valuable asset worth investing in for Bolingbrook High School's Students.

My daughter, a freshman, has seen discipline from Mr. White toward a student who was disrupting those around her in class. It is good to know that Mr. White is working hard to make BHS a great place to be and learn. He is a true asset and should be retained. BHS needs him.

As a transfer student I was unsure of what to expect coming into BHS because of all the bad drama but I came into a school that was absolutely amazing and everyone I met said this was because of Mr.White, I truly hope he stays

I still know many Bolingbrook High School parents (I am a retired BHS teacher) and they have all told me how much they appreciate everything Mr. White has done for our school. It would be a shame if he could not continue the work he is doing for BHS.
