Do something Nissan, before someone dies!

If this is typical customer service provided by a international company when a product the make is at fault, they should hang their heads in shame

Here in France there seems to be less corrosion. I am still waiting for a reply from my local dealer to my latest email asking him if he could ease my mind with a proper test. Nissan After Service in France really does not care about customers once you've bought the car. So this seems to be my last Nissan. Nissan Navara 2005 with 195000kms

I own 57 plate navara and even tho it's passed Nissan's so called test, I won't put my family in the vehicle as I have lost faith in it. Only option I have is to pay out more money to have the chassis treated and strengthen.

Have seen many of these fail, appauling build quality for the chassis to fail at less than 10 years old!

I have a Nissan Navara 55 that has a snapped chassis.

My chassis is nearly rotted through.

Currently waiting RAC inspection already had tank strap go and hole welded.?!

I'm stuck with a truck that I paid top money for by means of a bank loan that is now worth less than £3.5k I paid 8 months ago. I am scared to take my children out in the vehicle I bought for family adventures making memories for my children, I know one day it's going to snap and dread to think my children could become memories. Disgrace Nissan sub standard chassis issue a recall before there is a death!!

I have a 2012 navara and already it is showing signs of excessive corrosion on the chassis. Clearly there is a flaw in the manufacturing process and Nissan should step up and do a recall to inspect all chassis's in a professional manner. All corrosion seems to be from the inside of the chassis, therefore there is no way the owner can spot it. Nissan should be checking the chassis with a boroscope to give owners confidence their truck is safe to drive on the road with their families on board. Failure to do the right thing will put Nissan's reputation on the line and bring memories flooding back of rusting Datsuns.

Absolute joke the way the chassis are going. Pity because the d40 is a very comfortable jeep

Time Nissan took responsibility for the chassis and body work they are unsafe and is an accident waiting to happen so one family or innocence people could be killed !!!

Having my truck inspected by the RAC they told me not to drive it off the car park. Nissan the told me it's fine to drive until they have chance to inspect it themselves! Someone will end up hurt or even dead! Quick at taking money not quick at sorting problems out!

Extremely concerning that Nissan Australia and Ireland acknowledge this problem, but Nissan UK refuse to. I have just put down a deposit on a 2008 Nissan Navara and am due to collect it this week. While the MOT and service history is good, with no mention of chassis corrosion or weakness, if there are any signs that things are not as they should be, I'll be backing out. I generally run my cars into the ground; the car this Navara is replacing is a 1998, VW Sharan that has covered some 250,000+ miles and yet the condition of the chassis has never been called into question. Nissan need to acknowledge and address this problem otherwise reputational risk will be the end of it.

Exactly the same as the others, 9 year old d40 chassis rotted through as well as fuel tank straps. Only ever used for motorway driving.
